Do You Use Different Training Scent for Elk and Moose Sheds?

Question: I'm training my heeler to hunt for moose sheds . Using moose sheds, would your DogBone Shed Antler scent work for this?

Answer: All antlers have scent, no two are the same. The actual scent clues found by a dog are not specific to a species. Our antler scent incorporates several scent clues commonly found associated with an antler, I make it myself. I think the biggest thing to consider in training the dog for various species is the size and shape and how to handle that well. We have had customers send us pictures and stories who have successfully trained their dogs using our shed dog training systems with just about every antler and bone you can think of.
