Puppies: Forming Habits That Last A Lifetime | Ep: #61
Puppies: Forming Habits That Last A Lifetime
Puppies are the focus of today, and a number of questions about different aspects of puppy training comes up from a few questions via Instagram. There is a reason we don’t worry about time, how old our dogs are, where other people’s dogs are at in their training, or comparing our dogs to any one else’s. Going too fast in our dog training creates habits that are not permanent, they don’t stick! Our dogs may take longer to train, they may not be as far along as some other dogs, but in the end the things we train into our dogs will stick, and our dogs will be a-lot farther ahead in the long run. We go slow because we are forming habits that last a lifetime, not quick fixes that fade away.
As always, thanks for tuning in and keep the questions and feedback coming.
Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to the Turnpike Troubadours for allowing us to use a snippet from one of our all-time favorite songs The Bird Hunter. Make sure to check out their music, they are a favorite of ours.
